I like 27.5, but the trend is definitely towards 29. I don't find them unstable at speed at all, especially if my body positioning is correct. And I like the improved cornering and agility. Most of the trails I ride are narrow and have lots of berm free corners, so the handling of a 27.5 bike works really well.

One has to run a very large 650b tire before you actually reach a measurement of 27.5in from the ground to the top of the tire. The cycling industry is pushing 650b wheels to be known as 27.5

I get the rollover benefits of the 29er, shorter chain stay of the 27.5 and best of all, fewer buzzes on my arse when over the rear wheel.
