Ive been lurking for deals on either a new fork, or new wheelset. And new or used, there are better prices on 27.5 forks and wheels than there are for 29’er variants of the same stuff. I’ve also been keeping an eye out for a used bike for a buddy getting into the sport. And there are way more deals for 27.5 than 29, at least where I am.
32 is the "normal" size for 4k. gsync is more because it's a hardware solution to screen tearing rather than software (free sync, adaptive sync). at 4k, it's probably not worth the gsync tax even though it's better. if you're doing 1080k 240+ gsync is worth it. that said, don't get a monitor without some sort of sync on it.

Also the larger wheel steers a little differently than the fatter, smaller diameter tire, but I got both wheel sizes for my boost bike because, as you say, different riding conditions dictate having options. =s
