596 posts · Joined 2009. #2 · Dec 2, 2017. Jumping a MK4 is easy the negative terminal is not reachable with the battery cover in place but looking at the right hand suspension mounting point, you will see a metal post/stick sticking out below the mounting point. You clamp the negative on to that.
